Between May 12 and 13, FCC S.A. participated in the LARTC Ask The Experts 2026 (LARTC ATE), held in Chile. The event brought together specialists and refiners from Latin America with a very clear objective: share solutions applicable to the current refining challenges.
|
Considering this scenario and the transformations the market has been facing, FCC S.A. presented a technical paper in the “Experts in Action” session. During the presentation, technical consultant Eliza Diamante highlighted the new UPGRADER™ MD catalyst, the company’s latest launch aimed at increasing LCO yield in FCC units. The study highlighted that, given the changes in the profile of processed loads and the growing demand for diesel, the refiner does not need to rely solely on operational adjustments to achieve better results. The new UPGRADER™ MD catalyst was developed to operate robustly across a wide range of feedstock and operational severities, offering refiners greater flexibility to respond quickly to different market scenarios and processing strategies. |
In addition to the technical presentation, Eliza also participated in the “Ask The Experts” panel, with the topic “Catalysts, Loads, and Process Optimization.” The debate facilitated a practical exchange of experiences between refiners and FCC S.A. regarding the challenges related to new oils. Participation in the discussion also gave FCC S.A. the opportunity to demonstrate the technical services team’s refining expertise and its ability to support clients in solving challenges beyond the FCC converter, an important differential for the company.
LARTC ATE represents an important opportunity for the company to strengthen relationships with Latin American refiners, share technical knowledge, and closely monitor the main demands and trends in the sector.
