From September 23rd to 25th, in Rio de Janeiro, Fábrica Carioca de Catalisadores S.A. will be a sponsor of the Latin American Refining Technology Conference 2025 (LARTC), one of the main events dedicated to technologies for the refining sector in Latin America. During the three-day event, FCC S.A. will reinforce its commitment to innovation and the development of the sector by actively participating in strategic discussions, technical presentations and an exclusive workshop.
On September 24th, at 9:30 a.m., Luiz Valente, Director of FCC S.A., will take part in the Leaders' Panel: "Driving growth: overcoming investment challenges and enabling capital for the refining sector in Latin America", debating ways to face the investment challenges that impact the competitiveness of the industry in the region.
On the same day, at 3:05 pm, Tiago Coelho, Product Development Consultant at FCC S.A., will deliver the technical presentation “Tailor-Made Catalytic Solutions for UFCC: Advances in technologies with high resistance to metals", addressing the challenges posed by contaminating metals in FCC loads and the innovations developed by FCC S.A. to mitigate their impacts, ensuring greater operational efficiency.
On September 25th, from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., the workshop "Catalytic Solutions: Innovations for the Challenges of Refining". The team of experts from FCC S.A. will address the sector's main current and future challenges, such as the adaptation of FCC units to a cleaner and more diversified energy matrix and the growing impact of metallic contaminants on catalytic performance. The focus will be on presenting practical and technological solutions that contribute to a more efficient UFCC.
The workshop will have the special participation of FCC S.A. partners: Ketjen, with the presentation "Valorization of plastic waste oils, biomass and waste oils through hydrotreatment", and Petrobras, which will present the results of the commercial bio-oil co-processing test carried out at the UFCC of the Riograndense Refinery. Moreover, client Acelen will also be present, sharing experiences on how the optimization of the catalytic system has been key to responding quickly to changes in operational objectives in refining.
Throughout the event, the FCC S.A. team will be at the booth to welcome visitors, present solutions, technologies and exchange experiences.
We look forward to seeing you at LARTC 2025 to discuss the future of refining in Latin America together!
