There shall be held on the 19th of November, in Barcelona, Spain, the Seminar “Catalyzing Diesel Demand”, sponsored by Albemarle, for its European market customers.
In this event, the refiners attending the seminar will share their experiences and strategies associated with the current panorama and trends of the European fuel market, where there is a surplus of gasoline, which is currently exported to the United States and a deficit of diesel, which is filled by imports from Russia. The event will focus on the adjustment of the FCC process to increase its contribution as generator of currents of better quality and greater volume for the diesel pool.
FCC S.A., through its Product Development Manager, engineer Marcelo Torem, will be present at this event, presenting the work “FCC Process Options to Maximize Middle Distillates”, in co-authorship with Petrobras. The said work describes the more recent process developments accomplished by Petrobras Research Center – CENPES, which has been industrially applied with success, in order to increase the production and quality of average distillates produced at FCC’s units. Fábrica Carioca de Catalisadores S.A. participated of these advances, as Petrobras partner, in several P&D phases, culminating in the industrial test, which is the subject matter of this work.
Marcelo Torem is also co-author of another work that shall be presented by Albemarle, which shall release in the European market a new family of catalysts in order to maximize the yield and quality of LCO, based on the experience with the MFCC line, of FCC S.A., in the South-American market.
Fábrica Carioca de Catalisadores S.A. is an international technology company that produces and provides solutions in catalysts and additives for the oil refinning industry.
