On October 3rd, it is celebrated the Day of Brazilian Petroleum. This date is a fundamental mark for one of our shareholders, Petrobras, which , in 1953, planted the first seeds of dreams that were shared by the entire nation: development, integration and energy to move Brazil towards a future of social advances, sustainability and technological innovation.
Our shareholder has accomplished its mission and knew, as few organizations within the world range, how to overcome itself in each dream that has come through. In the middle of 2006, in the way to Brazilian future, it has conquered the self-sufficiency in oil production and has reassured that its road would lead to destinations much more distant than the initial growth plan had foreseen: clean and renewable energies, social and environmental responsibility, generation of technology and knowledge for well known companies and institution in many countries of the world. Petrobras has advanced further: it has fomented the debate about the participation of the second sector in the elaboration of the Global Pact and has conquered a seat in United Nations Organization (UNO), international recognition due to its action in favor of a fairer and equal world.
FCC S.A. is proud to be an integral part of this success history sharing strategies and ideas with its shareholder and decisively contributing to the excellence of its products, as well as the research and development of the best situations directed to the catalytic cracking of the Brazilian petroleum.
On behalf of our collaborators and partners, I compliment Petrobras for one more anniversary and for having achieved so significant merits for the society. Our greater desire is that the way of grubbing up it traced achieves the commitment assumed by its President José Sérgio Gabrielli de Azevedo, in a letter addressed to the company’s petroleum workers: that of “urging on the effort to build a society in which each one may exercise his talent and his skills for the benefit of a common ideal and of a better future for everyone”.
